After 2 years dreaming of this day, there are tears of joy running down my cheeks. I am truly proud of this project and what we have accomplished together with the UN. At the beginning of this year, I proposed my idea to the head of the UNDP Office in KR-I, Ms. Isabella and she loved it very much. From there we started training and empowering these beautiful girls, with the help of the LUVIÓN team we taught them everything about hair, makeup, and nails and we also taught them leadership and how to run a business. Those young girls have very heartbreaking stories leaving their homes, families because of ISIS..their lives, future, dreams everything was destroyed and taken away when they arrived at the UN camps with nothing else than HOPE of safety. I remember those sad days very well because we donated food, water blankets, milk, etc for 6000 refugees at the camp, 120 thousand solar lights to all camps in Kurdistan, food for Peshmerga fighters, orphans, and Winter clothes for camp children.. but despite their past..these girls have been inspiring me every day, they have given me energy, motivation, love and strength to build a safe and beautiful place for them, a place where they can build their love again for their dreams that were once taken away from them, a place where they can help their families and build a future. They are the light in the darkness, the little HOPE that kept them alive.they are Amal Luvión.
